- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I came out of BHR hip surgery by Phil with a permanent life time limp. Phil and his PA, Mike did not listen to me when I reported an issue early on in recovery. When Phil finally recognized that something was wrong he sent me on a two year odyssey trying to find answers. The answer I got was that something went wrong from the start but because so much time had elapsed there was little hope of correcting it. Phil basically maimed me and then washed his hands of me, never offering an apology. If you are considering BHR surgery- STOP. If you are considering Dr. Schmitt as your surgeon- STOP. Move on.
