  Decided to bring our daughter here because it was my husbands pediatrician growing up, Dr. Gendeleman was nice but we rarely saw him. We always ended up with whatever doctor was there because unfortunately we had to come in last minute sometimes. Every doctor we saw talked over us at times when we were trying to explain why we were there. We felt they didn't take us seriously at times and weren't really listening. Some of the staff members were rude, especially the front desk staff. Our daughter has a heart defect, she's an infant, she's our first so yes we're at bit nervous about her and we worry a little extra. We felt they were annoyed by that and brushed off our concerns. When we decided to get a second opinion about her not gaining weight over the last couple months and asked for some of her records the staff got extremely rude, said they charge for that (having recently moved from another state that dosnt do that I was shocked and a bit irritated) I was speechless and the office manager was very rude and put out that she had to explain that to me a few times. Apparently it's very "time consuming" to let parents see their child's medical records. I also found it interesting she was happy to tell me her weights until she saw I put in a request to have her records sent to another doctor for a second opinion, then at the point I was informed it was going to cost us because they follow some Michigan law. That incident pushed me over the edge and we will no longer be bringing our child here. I'll stick to U of M doctors where we have unlimited free access to our child's medical records, and we don't have to pay to have a copy of them. We had two good experiences here however the bad outweighed the good by far. If your a parent that wants to be heard and feel like they can trust their doctors to take care of their child, I highly recommend staying away from here.

  The lack of compassion for sick children or willingness to work with you, return calls and downright degrading and rude office staff will severely begin to affect this practice. I have a very ill infant with a very rare disease and I feel the only concern was how many medical students they could show her off to, as if she were some type of circus freak. After emergency room visits, bone marrow biopsy and several other tests, I left messages for the physician to call me in regards to my baby and never received a call back. Also, if you have a balance beware, the crude office manager has zero compassion, even if you are making payments. In fact I was told that my baby isn't the only sick baby and we are not the only family with medical financial burden. This was the only provider we had trouble with not willing to work with us. God forbid she ever have a severely sick child or grandchild and be shown the same lack of compassion. She is a sad older woman on a power trip. The lack of communication within the office staff is frightening, not to mention their rudeness and demeanor. I am thankful we do not have to go back there. It is unfortunate because I feel that there are a few great physicians within that office. Think long and hard before you allow this office to provide care for your children. Do your research and go with your gut. Be an advocate for your child! I should of ran after my infant was examined without gloves and a bare hand was shoved in her mouth and used to check her diaper area. If something feels off then it probably is.
